The chickens are once again laying beautiful, brown eggs. Since they are pastured on green grass, the yolks are a nice, bright orange now. We've been finding some double yolked eggs as well.

Chicks
Our chicks arrived a couple of weeks ago and they are doing great. We have 16 Golden Comets (they gave us an extra one). It's fun to throw in a worm and watch "chicken football". Mikey keeps saying "chick" and dragging me downstairs to see them.

Golden Comets
Michael has fixed up the chicken tractor and ordered our chicks. The 15 Golden Comets will be arriving sometime soon and the kids are all looking forward to baby chicks. Golden Coments lay brown eggs, lay during the winter and lay earlier than most chickens. I'm looking forward to fresh eggs! Yum :)
